Hi everyone! The games that were on June 30th were Houston Dash v Utah Royals FC and OL Reign v Sky Blue FC. We will just be doing a quick game review there are 2 games.

Houston Dash v Utah Royals FC

We saw that the teams kneeled during the National Anthem, Wore Black Lives Mater t-shirts during warm-ups and the National Anthem, and all of the players on the field wore are bands with Black Lives Matter written on them. This game had some pretty spectacular goals! In the thirty-fifth minute, Amy Rodriguez took the ball to the end line and played it threw the middle of the box where all Diana Matheson had to do was tap it in. The Royals had struck first! Eleven Minutes later in the 45+1 minute (extra time before half) Veronica Latsko passed the ball into the box with a little bounce on it. Rachel Daly took a touch and taped the ball into the back of the net! The score was 1-1! In the 46th minute (after half time) Kristie Mewis chipped the ball into the middle of the box off of a corner kick where Rachel Daly jumped in the air and headed the ball into the back of the net! That's two for Daly! In the sixty-first minute, Utah's Goalkeeper tried to punt the ball out of the 18-yard box, but Rachel Daly stopped it and dribbled a few feet. She passed it into the goal but the ref called the the goal off. In the sixty-seventh minute, Katie Stangel for Houston Dash got the ball inside the 18-yard box and shot it right into the far post! Houston was up 3-1! In the eighty-first minute, Megan Oyster got a yellow card for a handball. In the eighty-second minute, Vero for the Utah Royals took a beautiful freekick and put the ball in the back of the net! Utah was making a comeback! Later in the eighty-ninth minute, the ball came soaring into the 18-yard box. Tziarra King shuffled away from the crowd and headed the ball into the back of the net. The game was tied 3-3! The game ended in a 3-3 tie.

OL Reign v Sky Blue FC

Before the game both teams kneeled during the National Anthem while wearing Black Lives Matter t-shirts to show their support towards the movement. This game was very back and forth with amazing shots and saves from both teams but neither team was able to score. So you probably saw this coming but the final score was 0-0.
