Kansas City had some opportunities but neither team was able to score again in the first half. 15 minutes into the second half Lauren Milliet took advantage of a deflection just outside the 6-yard box and was able to hit into the goal. After some deliberation on whether the goal was offsides, it was counted as onsides, giving Racing Louisville the 2-0 lead. The final goal of the game came in the 65th minute when Gemma Bonner was able to head the ball into the bottom right corner of the goal off a corner! San Diego Wave FC vs Angel City

This game had A LOT of goals, 6 to be exact. San Diego was first to strike in the 19th minute of the game. After getting the cross to the far post Jodie Taylor shot the ball, and even though Angel City's goalkeeper was able to make a good save, Taylor got the rebound and put it in the back of the net! San Diego was up 1-0! Angel City lucked out a few minutes later. Tegan McGrady, from San Diego, passed back to the keeper, but the keeper was out of position. This led to an own goal tying the game. Alex Morgan didn’t want to go into the half tied though. In the 45+3 minute of the first half, after a defender took a bad touch Alex Morgan ran onto the ball and struck the ball with the laces of her right foot, into the goal! San Diego went into the half with a 2-1 lead! Angel City wasn’t just going to give up though. In the 60th minute, after getting across to the middle of the 18-yard box, Christen Press headed the ball down, then volleyed it, San Diego's keeper was able to get a hand to it, but it wasn’t enough. The game was tied up 2-2! Once again, Alex Morgan did not like being tied, so she did something about it. In the 72nd minute, after getting a low cross into the middle of the box, Morgan used her right foot to half-volley the ball past Angel City's goalkeeper! Alex Morgan had given San Diego the 3-2 lead! Only 9 minutes later San Diego added another goal to the scoreboard. In the 81st minute, after getting the ball out wide near halfway, Amirah Ali dribbled the ball into the 18-yard box, beating her defender and then putting the ball far post and into the back of the net! San Diego had secured their 4-2 victory!

April 2nd

Chicago Red Stars vs Houston Dash

Chicago looked really good in this game. They were creating good opportunities, had good touches, and nice passes. If Chicago had taken advantage of all of their opportunities they would’ve won by way more. The first goal came in the 32nd minute when Mallory Pugh took a beautiful touch into the 18-yard box and sliced the ball across the goal into the net. Chicago was up 1-0! Chicago had many more opportunities but their second and final goal came in the 82nd minute, Mallory Pugh received the ball with her right foot, and hit across the goal into the left side of the goal! Neither team was able to score again. The final score was Chicago Red Stars 2, Houston Dash 0.

Portland Thorns FC vs OL Reign

Although there were a couple of shots, the first goal came in the 74th minute for OL Reign. After getting a short throw ball into the box, Rose Lavelle took a touch across her body, used her right foot, then shot the ball into the right side of the net! OL had taken the late lead! Portland fought hard, but in the end, OL took home the 1-0 win!

April 3rd

NJ/NY Gotham FC vs North Carolina Courage

This game looked like it was going to go one way but then took a slight turn. In the 25th minute, after getting a free-kick right outside the box, North Carolina had a prime opportunity to get on the board, and Débora Cristiane de Oliveira (Debinha) was going to make sure that they took it. Debinha stepped up and was able to curve the ball right into the far post of the net! It was such a beautiful free-kick, and it gave North Carolina the lead! North Carolina had a ton of chances but was unable to finish any of them. But then in the 84th minute, Kristie Mewis stepped up to take Gotham's corner. After getting a great cross into the middle of the box, Ifeoma Onumonu was able to get up and head the ball across her body into the right netting of the goal! Gotham had taken North Carolina's lead! Both teams fought hard to try and get the game-winning goal, but the game ended in a 1-1 tie.

April 3rd

Washington Spirit vs Orlando Pride

This was an eventful game. The first goal came in the 43rd minute when Ashley Sanchez was able to pass the ball into the goal with one-touch off across! Washington was up 1-0! Washington's next goal came 2 minutes later in the 45th minute, when Andi Sullivan got the ball in the 18-yard box, turned, and shot it into the bottom right corner! Washington was now up 2-0!
