First off Rose Lavelles NWSL rights no longer belong to the Washington Spirit. She was traded to the OL Reign for the a first round pick in the 2022 NWSL Draft and $100,000 in allocation money. But that's not it. Rose decided to go play for the Manchester City women's team on a one year contract which means she will be playing with National
Team teammate Sam Mewis. So if Rose comes back to the states she will play for the OL Reign. We wrote a blog a few weeks ago about how Samantha Mewis had signed with Manchester City and there were rumors of Rose Lavelle thinking of signing with them. The rumors were true!
Not too much is known about Kelly O'Hara's trade. She got traded to the Washington Spirit from the Utah Royals leaving Christen Press the only National Team player on the Utah Royals.
