If you watched the US Women's National Team play Mexico then you probably know why Samantha Mewis is our player spotlight. This Massachusetts native score two beautiful goals in the USWNT game versus Mexico!
Sam Mewis scored her first goal in the fourteenth minute. After Julie Ertz's near-post run she opened up space for Megan Rapinoes grounded corner kick so it was easy for Samantha Mewis to control and all she had to do was tap it in! The ball flew over the goalie and straight into the goal! Wow was that an amazing goal!
Samantha Mewis scored her second goal in the 67th minute off a free-kick just outside the box. Megan Rapinoe ran over the ball, then Samantha Mewis took the kick. The ball soared past the wall, and through the 18-yard box and flew into the lower-left corner on the net! That was pure amazingness!
We can't wait to see Samantha Mewis keep rocking it on the field!
