Lindsey Horan is 25 and plays in the NWSL for the Portland Thorns FC. She isn't a huge name for the USWNT but there was no way you could miss her when they played Panama.
By the end of the game, she had snagged herself a hat trick.
Horan got her 3 goals in the 3rd minute, 18th minute, and the 81st minute. When she missed her first shot in the first minute we knew that she was gonna get it back. In the 3rd minute, Panama's goalkeeper came to make a save but gave it right to Horan where she took a first-time shot. Even though it deflected off the goalkeeper it had enough power to get to the back of the net.
In the 18th minute, Jessica McDonald dribbled to the end line and crossed a low ball in, Emily Sonnett drew her defender in but didn't try to shot, and the ball went to Horan who was able to tap it in with her right foot.
It was the 81st minute, the score was 7-0 US, but they weren't done, McDonald dribbled to the end line, crossed it right to Horan who was wide open and took the one time shot with her right foot. She didn't even let it bounce.
She did extremely well with the ball at her feet, but she also did awesome without it, She had the assist to Lynn Williams goal and she was always moving and in the right spot. With the way she plays, we can't wait to see more of her in the future!
