Catarina Macario served in a beautiful corner kick into the box, where the ball was headed around until Andi Sullivan was able to head the ball into the left side of the goal! The USWNT was up 1-0, however, this was only the beginning. Their next goal came less than a minute later, when Rose Lavelle intercepted a pass and played a great ball to Mallory Pugh who was able to smash the ball into the net. They were up 2-0! Their next goal came a few minutes later in the 33rd minute when Sophia Smith was able to one-touch pass the ball into the goal from a cross into the box! The USWNT was putting on a show. Sophia wasn’t done though. Less than two minutes later in the 35th minute when Sophia Smith received the ball and shot it into the goal, just below the crossbar. The USWNT was up 4-0! Neither team was able to score again in the first half, but the USWNT started the second half off strong. A minute into the second half. Like the USWNT game three days prior, the US did not hold back. Things didn’t start great for Uzbekistan when the US scored in the first minute, especially because it was off of an own goal. Rose Lavelle was looking to cross it in, but Kamila Zaripova, a player for Uzbekistan who was trying to clear the ball, accidentally tapped it in. Only 11 minutes later did the US score again. In the 12th minute, after the US had received a free-kick, just outside of the 18-yard box, Catarina Macario stepped up to take it, and man was it a beauty. When the whistle blew, Macario was able to curve the ball around the wall, have it hit the far post, and bounce into the back of the net! What a pretty goal to give the US a 2-0 lead! Only 2 minutes later, the US scored again. In the 14th minute, after a great pass and dummy into the 18, Mallory Pugh ran on to the ball, dribbled past the goalkeeper, and passed it into the back of the net! The US was up 3-0 within the first 15 minutes of the game! Later in the 25th minute of the game, Rose Lavelle put on a show! In the 25th minute, she shot the ball, and although the keeper was able to make the first original save, Lavelle was able to get on the rebound andget the US another goal! Then, only 2 minutes later, Lavelle did it again. In the 27th minute, Rose Lavelle received a pass near the midway point of the field. She took her space, dribbled to the top of the 18-yard box, faked out her defender, shot the ball to the right post, which the ball hit off of, then hit the left post and stayed in the net! It was looking like the half was going to end with

The US had a 5-0 lead, but Catarina Macario wanted to add another one. In overtime of the first half, after receiving a pass in the box, Macario was able to turn around her defender and then shoot the ball across the goal into the left side of the net! The US was up 6-0! The US went into the half with a 6-0 lead! The game calmed down a little bit until around the 70th minute. In the 71st minute, after receiving a ball played through, Trinity Rodman took her touch inside to the 18-yard box and then shot with her right foot, putting the ball in the back of the net! The US was up 7-0, and Trinity Rodman had scored her first goal for the USWNT! Congrats to Trinity Rodman! Later in the 84th minute, after Trinity Rodman headed the ball into the 6- yard box and an unsuccessful clearance from Uzbekistan, Margaret “Midge” Purce was able to get to the ball and tap it in! The US was up 8-0! Only 6 minutes later, Ashley Sanchez added another one. In the 90th minute, after a corner was played in and Sanchez received the ball wide with no one on her, she received a bouncing ball and was able to volley it across the net, and the ball fell right inside the goal!
